The Croatian National Tourist Board has launched a new promotional campaign focused on promoting nautical tourism and the safety of Croatia as a tourist destination. The campaign will run until July 20 and covers six key markets: Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and Sweden. The aim of the campaign is to further position Croatia as a quality and attractive destination for holidays and travel.
“We are entering a period when more than a million guests will be staying in our country daily. A significant number of them come precisely because of nautical tourism, which is one of the key tourist products for which Croatia is globally recognized. With this campaign, we want to bring the nautical offer of Croatia closer to visitors and emphasize the high level of safety of staying in our destinations. Recent research shows that Croatia is the safest European country for nighttime walks,” said Kristjan Staničić, director of the CNTB, adding that promotional activities are carried out through online channels.
In addition to the existing video on nautical tourism, the Croatian National Tourist Board has created three additional videos for promotion on social networks such as Instagram and TikTok. The videos are focused on Germany, Austria, Italy, and the United Kingdom, each lasting about 30 seconds. The videos interestingly showcase Croatia's safety as a tourist destination and present 24 activities that visitors can experience during a 24-hour stay. Additionally, followers on social networks are introduced to "fjaka," a unique state of mind and way of relaxation specific to Croatia.
eVisitor System Data
According to data from the eVisitor system, there are currently about 800,000 guests in Croatia, most of whom are in Istria, Split-Dalmatia County, and Kvarner. Among the most visited destinations are Rovinj, Vir, Umag, Dubrovnik, and Poreč. Looking at the markets, most guests come from Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Austria.
Nautical Tourism
Croatia is recognized as a top destination for nautical tourism. Its coastline, with more than a thousand islands and islets, offers unique opportunities for exploration and enjoyment of untouched nature. Nautical tourism in Croatia contributes to the overall tourist offer of the country, and the high level of safety and quality of services make Croatia a desirable destination for yachtsmen from around the world.
The promotional campaign also includes a series of educational content that will help visitors better understand nautical regulations and safety measures. This aims to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all visitors.
In addition to promoting safety, the campaign also highlights the cultural and natural beauties of Croatia. Numerous festivals, events, and cultural activities are held throughout the country, providing visitors with a rich program and unforgettable experiences. Croatia also offers various opportunities for active holidays, including hiking, cycling, diving, and other outdoor activities.
The campaign will be conducted through various online channels, including social networks, specialized tourist portals, and websites. The goal is to reach as many potential visitors as possible and present Croatia as a safe, attractive, and diverse holiday destination.
The Croatian National Tourist Board continuously works on improving the tourist offer and promoting Croatia on the international market. In cooperation with local communities and partners, the CNTB implements various projects and initiatives aimed at increasing the quality of tourist services and guest satisfaction.
The promotional campaign will continue even after the end of the main tourist season to ensure continuity of promotion and attract visitors throughout the year. Croatia has something to offer in every season, and the diversity of the tourist offer allows visitors to enjoy a holiday tailored to their interests and desires.
This approach to promotion and improvement of the tourist offer contributes to the long-term development of Croatian tourism and strengthens its competitiveness in the global market. The Croatian National Tourist Board continues to invest in marketing and promotion to keep Croatia recognizable and a desirable destination for tourists from around the world.
