This Austrian couple visits the island at the end of August and the beginning of September, enjoying a triad holiday each year. Their connection with the island was further strengthened by an accident Johann experienced while diving in Čikat Bay, resulting in an even stronger friendship with the Lalić family.

The family is particularly thrilled with Lošinj's climate, lush pine forests, and abundance of outdoor activities. They have traveled almost every corner of Cres and Lošinj, even visiting smaller places like Beli, Lubenice, Osoršćica, and Ilovik. In every corner of the island, they find something new, but what attracts them most is the unique combination of untouched nature and hospitable hosts. Their love for Lošinj has been passed down to the next generation – their daughter has been coming to Camp Baldarin for years.

Stories of long-time guests
Another loyal guest of Lošinj is Thomas Malik, who first visited the island as a child 55 years ago. His first experiences on Lošinj were with the Janežić family in Valdarki, where he stayed with his parents. Today, Thomas is a guest of Željka Starčević, Ankica's niece. Over the years, Lošinj has become an essential destination for him at the end of August and the beginning of September. Malik's holiday begins even on the ferry, and he spends his time on the island walking from Mali to Veli Lošinj and regularly visiting the fish market.

In recent years, Thomas has welcomed the changes that have improved the island's infrastructure, but the most important element of his loyalty to Lošinj remains the special feeling of connection with the place and its people. Malik believes that recent changes have made Lošinj even more attractive and considers the island an essential part of his life travels.

German guests connected to Lošinj
Elke and Peter Zindl from Ulm, another long-time visiting family, also attest to Lošinj's appeal. They have spent their holidays for 29 years with the Ivanka and Lucia Jurjako family. Over the years, the Zindls have developed a strong bond with the island and the families that host them, and today their daughter visits with her own family. They are particularly delighted with encounters with turtles and dolphins in the early morning and afternoon hours, while cycling to their favorite beaches of Bojčić, Sveti Martin, and Sunčana Bay gives them an added sense of freedom.

Elke and Peter often come at the end of August and never miss the opportunity to praise the authenticity of Mali Lošinj, especially the old stone surfaces that adorn the squares. They love the untouched nature of the island but also emphasize the importance of responsible tourism and environmental conservation. In the future, the family plans to purchase a house on the island, which would further strengthen their bond with Lošinj.

Lošinj can also boast of the Italian Comin family from Vicenza, which has been visiting the island since 1998. In the early years, they stayed in Veli Lošinj, but for the past ten years, they have spent their holidays at Eco House Zabodarski, where they were the first guests. Their connection with the island has been further strengthened by working with their hosts to improve the house and surroundings, and the now-adult children of the Comin family visit on their own.

What attracts the Comin family the most is Lošinj's untouched nature and the peace they find in the Zabodarski area. They often praise the improved traffic connections to the island and the roads that facilitate their travel from Vicenza. They are particularly impressed by the view from Osoršćica, while they spend most of their time walking and discovering Lošinj's coves.
