Promotion through the Synergy of Sports and Tourism
Minister Glavina stated: "Through the synergy of sports and tourism, we can present Croatia in the best way. Our goal is to use the opportunity to present Croatia as a sports nation and a tourist destination with a rich offer. We are facing the most intense part of the tourist year and want to encourage the arrival of new guests. We wish the Vatreni lots of luck and success, and I am sure they will make us proud and represent Croatia in the most beautiful way."
Small Croatian Fair
On the main city square, the Croatian Tourist Board organized a fair in cooperation with the coastal counties. Visitors can get to know the cultural heritage and eno-gastronomy of Croatia, and an entertaining music program is prepared with the Šibenik klapa Sebenico.
Director Staničić stated: "The stay of the Vatreni in Neuruppin is an excellent reason for promotional activities that will further bring Croatia closer as a tourist destination. We have prepared a rich program and want to make the most of the fact that Croatia is globally recognized for tourism and sports. The activities will positively affect the perception of Croatia and tourist flows, with a special emphasis on the summer season."
Sculptures of Croatian Greats
In the city square, sculptures of famous Croats have been placed: Nikola Tesla, Marco Polo, Dražen Petrović, Ivan Meštrović, Ruđer Bošković, and Slavoljub Penkala. The sculptures are positioned in different parts of the square and additionally contribute to the promotion of Croatia.
