The partnership with Skydio also includes additional investments in the development of drones and technologies. Skydio drones are equipped with advanced features such as automatic navigation, obstacle avoidance, and autonomous landing. These features allow the drones to safely navigate through complex terrains, such as collapsed buildings or fire-affected areas. Such technologies ensure that drones can reach hard-to-access places, where rescues would otherwise be difficult or impossible using conventional methods.
Challenges and future of the system
Although the new drone system represents a significant advancement in responding to natural disasters, challenges remain.
