Prime Minister Andrej Plenković visited the new headquarters of the Croatian Olympic Committee in Zagreb today, where he discussed the preparations of Croatian athletes for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris with the hosts, HOC President Zlatko Mateša and Secretary-General Siniša Krajač.
Accompanying the Prime Minister were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and State Property Branko Bačić, Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina, Minister of Health Vili Beroš, and Minister of Science, Education and Youth Radovan Fuchs.

HOC President Zlatko Mateša emphasized the important role of the relevant ministry and the government in the preparations for the Olympic Games in Paris, as well as in the acquisition of the new HOC headquarters. After announcing the renovation of the Sports Hall, the HOC was forced to seek new premises.
HOC directors Damir Šegota and Ranko Ćetković informed Prime Minister Plenković about the status of the Croatian delegation at the Olympic Games in Paris. The Croatian delegation consists of 73 athletes from 16 sports, with a total of 157 members. They also presented the project of the Croatian House in Paris, which will serve as a link between the Croatian and French economies and as a gathering place for Croatians who will be in Paris during that time.
Prime Minister Plenković supported the athletes
Prime Minister Plenković wished the Croatian athletes successful performances at the Olympic competitions and announced his attendance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris. He also accepted an invitation to visit the Croatian House.
Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina stated today to the media that the government's support for the athletes is evident in the recent decision to increase rewards for top sports achievements. Croatian gold medalists in Paris will receive 41,000 euros each, which is a 50% increase compared to previous rewards.
