On Friday, June 28, around 4:40 PM, in Novoselec, municipality of Križ, a traffic accident occurred caused by a 45-year-old man under the influence of alcohol. He was driving a car with Bjelovar license plates in the northern lane of Moslavačka Street heading west, with a blood alcohol concentration of 3.33 g/kg.
Upon reaching near house number 142, he crossed to the left side of the road, into the southern lane of Moslavačka Street, and collided with a car with Zagreb license plates. It was driven by a 54-year-old woman traveling in the southern lane of Moslavačka Street heading east. After the collision, the vehicle veered off the road and the rear part struck an improperly parked car with Zagreb license plates, which had been parked there by a 32-year-old woman.
The 45-year-old driver and the 54-year-old driver sustained minor injuries in the accident, and medical assistance was provided to them at Dubrava Clinical Hospital.
Subsequent checks revealed that the 45-year-old was driving without a valid driver's license. He will be sanctioned through regular channels for the committed offenses.
Due to improper parking, the 32-year-old woman was issued a notice of the offense at the scene.
We appeal to all drivers and traffic participants to adhere to traffic regulations to reduce the number of accidents and increase road safety.
